ਚੰਡੀਗੜ, 1 ਅਗਸਤ (ਕੇਸਰੀ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ)- ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਦਿ੍ਰੜ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਖਾਸਤ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਦੇ ਘਰੋਂ 3710 ਨਸ਼ੀਲੀਆਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ (ਟਰੈਮਾਡੋਲ ਐਸ.ਆਰ. 100 ਮਿਲੀਗ੍ਰਾਮ) ਅਤੇ 4.7 ਕਿਲੋ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਾਊਡਰ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਈ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ. ਹੈੱਡਕੁਆਰਟਰ ਸੁਖਚੈਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ‘ਚ ਫਸਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਕਮ ਵਸੂਲਣ ਲਈ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਰਕੋਟਿਕ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਸੈੱਲ ‘ਚ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ 2 ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾਸਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਹਫਤੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਨੌਕਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਰਖਾਸਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਲਾਜਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਏ.ਐਸ.ਆਈ. ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਹੈੱਡ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਜੋਗਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਆਈ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ. ਸੁਖਚੈਨ ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਕਤ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਫਿਰੋਜਪੁਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਰਖਾਸਤ ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਦੇ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਦੇ  ਘਰ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਭਾਰੀ ਮਾਤਰਾ ’ਚ ਨਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਮੈਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਟ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਦੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ  ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ  ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।

 ਉਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਬਰਾਮਦਗੀ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਬਰਖਾਸਤ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਬਾਜਵਾ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਫਿਰੋਜਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਥਾਣਾ ਕੁਲਗੜੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਐਫ.ਆਈ.ਆਰ ਨੰ. 99 ਮਿਤੀ 1 ਅਗਸਤ, 2022 ਨੂੰ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।

DECISIVE WAR AGAINST DRUGS: PUNJAB POLICE RECOVERS 3710 TRAMADOL TABLETS, 4.7KG INTOXICANT POWDER FROM HOUSE OF DISMISSED INSP BAJWA

Chandigarh/Ferozepur, August 1:(kesari news network)-Reaffirming the firm commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government against drugs, Punjab Police on Monday recovered 3710 intoxicant tablets (Tramadol SR 100 mg) and 4.7kg intoxicant powder from the house of dismissed Inspector Parminder Singh Bajwa, said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Headquarters Sukhchain Singh Gill here.

          The development came a week after Punjab Police had dismissed Inspector Bajwa and his two cop aides, a trio posted at Narcotic Control Cell in Ferozepur after they falsely implicated two persons in a drug case and also extorted a huge amount of money from them. The other two cops who were dismissed from service have been identified as ASI Angrej Singh, and Head Constable Joginder Singh.

          Divulging details, IGP Sukhchain Gill said that continuing the investigation in the case, the police teams from Ferozepur had conducted a search at the rented private house of dismissed Parminder Bajwa and recovered a huge quantity of intoxicants. The search was conducted following the due procedure in the presence of the duty magistrate, he added.

 He said that regarding this recovery, a fresh FIR no. 99 dated August 1, 2022, has been registered against dismissed Inspector Bajwa under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Kulgarhi in Ferozepur. Further investigation is going on, he added.
