A workshop on Translation conducted at HMV

ਜਲੰਧਰ (ਕੇਸਰੀ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ)- ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਂਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਿ੍ਰੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਡਾ. (ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ) ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਯੋਗ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਨਵਰੂਪ, ਮੁਖੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਡੀਨ ਯੂਥ ਵੈਲਫੇਅਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਪੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ 10 ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੀ ਲੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਮਧੂ ਰਚਨਾ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਰੁਣਦੀਪ (ਸਹਿ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਜਾਗਰਣ) , ਆਸਟਰੇਲੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਲੇਖਿਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਰੀ ਹਰਖੀ ਵਿਰਕ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਮਵਾਰ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ, ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ, ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਜੋਤੀ ਗੋਗੀਆ, ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਮੀਨੂ ਤਲਵਾੜ, ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਮੁਖੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਤਿਮਾ ਮੰਡੇਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਕੁਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ, ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ, ਮਹੱਤਵ ਅਤੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ, ਲੋਕਧਾਰਾ ਪਰਿਪੇਖ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਈ ਪਰਿਪੇਖ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਪਨ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿ੍ਰੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਡਾ. (ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ) ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਭਾਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਪੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਜਰੂਰਤ ’ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਕੁਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਸੰਪੂਰਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਆਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਮੁਖੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਨਵਰੂਪ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵੀਕਰਣ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਯੁੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਅਨੁਭਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਪਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਸਹਿ-ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ. ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਵੀਨਾ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਪਵਨਦੀਪ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਰਹੇ।

JALANDHAR (KESARI NEWS NETWORK)- Post Graduate Punjabi Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar conducted a 10 day short term course cum workshop on Translation under the support and guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen and Mrs. Navroop, Head of Punjabi Department.

The resource persons included experts  from various colleges as well the faculty members of HMV. The list included the names of Advocate Madhu Rachna, Deputy Editor of Punjabi Jagran, Mr. Arundeep, Writer and Poet Harkhi Virk from  Australia  who shared their views on Translation and its Rules, Translation and Media, Translation and Diasporic Literature respectively.  Faculty members, Dr. Jyoti Gogia, Head Hindi Department, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Punjabi Department, Dr. Meenu Talwar, Head Sanskrit Department, Mrs. Protima Mander, Head History Department, Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Dr. Sandeep Kaur and Ms. Manpreet Kaur shared their views on the concepts, types, importance, history,linguistic perspective, folklore perspective, etc. of translation.

  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen distributed certificates to all the participants in the valedictory function and explained the importance of the art of translation. She encouraged the students to move forward and said that such workshops help in the development of the students’ Skills. Mrs. Kuljit Kaur In charge of this workshop congratulated the students on completion of this course and wished them all the best for the future. Head of Punjabi Department, Mrs. Navroop highlighted the importance of translation in the face of globalization challenges and encouraged the students to apply the lessons learned from this workshop in their future lives. On this occasion Co-Incharge Dr. Sandeep Kaur and Dr. Mandeep Kaur also congratulated the students,  Mrs. Veena Arora and Ms. Pawandeep from Punjabi Department were also present on the occasion.
